I started helping out with a small IT room at a local school where everything was built over time with whatever equipment was available. Nothing was really standardized and each server had its own monitor and keyboard sitting on a crowded table.
During maintenance days it became chaotic because we had to switch between machines constantly just to run updates or fix basic issues. It slowed everything down and made simple tasks feel much bigger than they actually were.
Someone suggested using a rack mount KVM switch to simplify access and reduce the clutter. I had heard of it before but never really seen it in action in a real environment like this.
Has anyone here used one in a similar setup and noticed a real improvement in workflow and organization
